At Premier Medical Centre we understand the complexities of women’s health and are dedicated to providing treatment and advice for women of all ages, in an open, friendly and supportive environment.
We fully support the national cervical smear programme in order to minimise women's chances of developing cervical cancer. From the ages of 25 to 64 years, women are called every 3 years for a cervical smear. We send out SMS reminders to our patients who are due for cervical screening on a regular basis.
If you have had unprotected sex or are worried that you have had a contraception failure please arrange an appointment with a doctor or nurse practitioner and we will see you ASAP. We may be able to offer you something to limit your chances of becoming pregnant up to 5 days after.
The intrauterine contraceptive device (IUCD) is an effective method of contraception which is also known as 'the coil'. Dr Sushila Notaney performs IUCD Fitting in the practice. Please book an appointment with her.
